Kwik Fill Acquires Acorn Markets

Warren, PA – United Refining Company of Pennsylvania announced today their acquisition of
the Acorn Markets convenience chain based in Wellsboro, PA. The process of rebranding the
16 Acorn stores to be integrated into the longstanding and successful Kwik Fill / Red Apple
chain began immediately. The transition will be completed as quickly as possible to minimize
disruption for customers.
Jon Mechling, Assistant Vice President for Kwik Fill, said, “We are really excited to begin serving
all the current customers and reaching new ones in north-central Pennsylvania. We intend
to augment the existing products and services that customers appreciate with our own popular
prepared foods, tradition of customer service, and American-made fuels.”
The addition of these 16 stores will bring the Kwik Fill chain to a total of 295. Customers are

map, and enter the free monthly online giveaways. “Our giveaways are a big hit with our
customers,” Mechling said.
Kwik Fill offers a free Kwik Rewards Club Card that customers can use right at the pump to
save three cents on every gallon. What’s more, customers who sign up for a Kwik Fill Charge
Card and use it for payment can save an additional five cents per gallon. Kwik Fill Gi􀅌 Cards are
also very popular for giô€…Œs during any season.
